RIYADH, Oct 23 (Reuters) – Saudi Arabia announced on Monday the inception of an annual Esports World Cup, which will feature the most popular games globally and boast the largest prize pool in esports history.

The inaugural competition will take place in summer 2024, according to a statement from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
