Indian esports players, results and scores

At the Asian Games 2023 held in Hangzhou, People’s Republic of China, a duo from India participated in the FC Online esports tournament, previously recognized as FIFA Online 4. All the esports events were conducted in the China Hangzhou Esports Centre.

The FC Online contests in the Asian Games 2023 were planned from 24th to 27th of September, unfortunately, India’s participation ended on the first day. In the losers’ bracket round 4 Charanjot Singh managed to secure a spot, while Karman Singh’s journey ended in the losers’ bracket round 2.

Esports, initially introduced as a demonstration sport at Jakarta’s Asian Games in 2018, were officially included as a medal sport in the Hangzhou 2023.

A total of seven esports medal categories such as FC Online 4, Dota 2, League of Legends, Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, Arena of Valor Asian Games Version, Dream Three Kingdoms 2, and Peace Elite Asian Games Version (commonly known as PUBG Mobile) are included in Hangzhou. India is participating in the first four.

Developed by EA Sports, FC Online is an online football game that is officially named as EA Sports FC 24 or FC 24.

Team India for the Asian Games 2023 FC Online

Players representing India in FC Online: Charanjot Singh, Karman Singh Tikka

Both Charanjot Singh and Karman Singh Tikka qualified for the Asian Games by reaching the final round of National Esports Championships (NESC), which was arranged by the Esports Federation of India (ESFI).

Charanjot Singh is ranked number one as a FIFA Online 4 player in India. The 20-year-old player was favoured in the draw since he topped the Asian Games 2023 South Asia seeding event held in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

Known by his game name tikkatown, Karman Singh Tikka landed up in fifth place in the seeding event. The 20-year-old Delhiite secured second place in the inaugural eISL championships and took the title in the Community Cup that took place the prior year.
