Maximum overtime victory against Soniqs sees w7m esports clinching second spot to feature in Phase 3 — SiegeGG

Following the team’s maximum overtime victory against Soniqs, w7m esports have secured a spot to compete at the BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen Phase 3.

Soniqs began the match with a well coordinated rush to the site led by Shaun “Gunnar” Pottorff’s Amaru, which gave the North American lineup an early 1-0 lead.

However, w7m esports quickly took the lead with a two-round streak, which was stopped by Gunnar’s successful 1v1 clutch. 

Later on in the game, both Diego “Kheyze” Zanello and Emilio “Geometrics” Leynez momentarily stole the show with impressive clutches.

Although Soniqs forced the overtime, the Six Invitational 2023 grand finalists couldn’t be stopped as their secured the win in the final round of the series.

The former MIBR player of Felipe “FelipoX” de Lucia was the best rated player in the match with a SiegeGG rating of 1.18. Meanwhile, Gunnar was the best at Soniqs, as he was the only American player with a positive rating.

With this victory, w7m esports have joined FaZe Clan as the only two rosters to clinch a Phase 3 spot on Day 3 of the BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen Phase 2.
