Concordium has partnered with esports tournament company Playbase.GG in order to create an ‘esports 3.0’ platform utilizing Concordium’s blockchain technology. By using built-in user identification, players can feel secure while competing without worrying about fake accounts or unpaid prize pools which can affect tournament operations across multiple game titles. Currently, the platform is rumored to host tournaments for VALORANT, FIFA, League of Legends, and Rocket League.
By utilizing Ragebite’s software, Playbase.GG will be able to launch its website in the first quarter of 2023. The platform will offer a meta hub in the second quarter, allowing players to organize tournaments and network with future players or potential partners.
Boris Batocanin, CEO of Playbase.GG, commented: “We’re happy to see that the people from Concordium have recognized the potential of Esports, and we look forward to working together on developing a technology to bring better experiences for next-gen gamers and esports 3.0.”
