The Young Professionals’ Network of The Korea Society is delighted to welcome Arnold Hur, CEO of Gen.G Esports, for an engaging discussion on the esports industry, on Tuesday, March 12th at 6:30 PM. Amidst the rising esports wave, Hur’s competent leadership has positioned Gen.G Esports as the front-runner esports organization linking the U.S. and Asia.

Gen.G, positioned in the Top #10 of the 2020 Forbes list of the world’s most valuable esports companies, is an international vanguard advocating an inclusive future in gaming. Gen.G aspires to use gaming and esports to drive success in competitive and non-competitive platforms. Their diverse portfolio comprises League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK), Gen.G Mobil1 Racing & Gen.G Mobil 1 Racing Black Rocket League teams, Gen.G VALORANT, Gen.G PUBG, and NBA2K’s Gen.G Tigers.

Arnold Hur is currently the CEO of Gen.G, a leading global esports organization. The organization operates top esports teams across Los Angeles, Seoul, and Shanghai, along with running the world’s largest gaming academy, Gen.G Global Academy, with more than 2,000 active students in professional gaming and gaming education programs. Prior to Gen.G, Arnold served as the president of Memebox, one of Korea’s most successful startups, scaling the company from Series A to Series C and raising over $160M. His previous stints include strategizing and product roles at Google, management consulting at Boston Consulting Group, and investment banking at Goldman Sachs.
