Edgar Chekera joins Global Esports as sports psychologist –

The Indian gaming company, Global Esports, recently welcomed Edgar Chekera into their fold as the team’s official sports psychologist. His primary role will be to guide the mental training sessions of Global Esports players as they gear up for the upcoming VCT season, which includes the VCT Pacific 2024 event in Seoul.

Backed by ten years of experience, Chekera has a proven record of enhancing the mental resilience and efficacy of elite athletes across a range of sports and esports organizations, including the likes of Fnatic, Excel, GUILD, and Manchester City Esports.

As a professional based in the UK and hailing from Zimbabwe, Chekera brings a vast array of knowledge and numerous successes to his impressive career. His support in surmounting challenges and obstacles has benefitted performers across 17 competitive sports over the last decade, cumulating 18 trophies and contributing to more than USD 2 million in prize money.
