The Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGIS) 2023 tournament witnessed a series of shocking events, including two rounds of disqualifications and banning. Amidst these, emerged further revelations about hacking by CKxKinG, the In-Game Leader (IGL) of Crosskill Esports, who was caught red-handed by the BGMI Anti-Cheat System during a live match. Setting this incident apart was KinG’s confession of hacking.
Ignorance of Crosskill Esports Regarding KinG’s Hacking in BGIS 2023
His tactful IGL skills had indeed earned KinG a considerable reputation in BGIS 2023, however, things took a turn when he was banned during the Losers Bracket. Amid several tournament controversies and violations, KinG’s suspension only added to the ongoing perplexity.
The other three members of Crosskill Esports adamantly claimed to have had no idea about KinG’s underhanded actions. To prove their innocence, they released their Point of View (POV) recordings, showing that they were not involved in the hacking fiasco. They publicly condemned KinG, holding him responsible for endangering not only his own career but also theirs. Interestingly, even the Esport’s owners were kept in the dark regarding KinG’s clandestine actions.
Dexter, a team member, announced via Instagram that he was exiting Crosskill Esports because of the IGL’S hacking activities. He further clarified that the rest of the players were clueless about KinG’s actions. Dexter also revealed that post his ban, KinG blocked his teammates on social media severing any communication with them.
The Unexpected Hacking Admission by KinG
In a surprising turn of events, KinG, after maintaining a period of silence, unblocked a teammate and apologized. He confessed to having hacked during the day one, third match of BGIS 2023 and mentioned that similar activity on his alternate account had also attracted a ban. However, this apology did little to repair the damage done to his team’s and the organization’s public image.
Interestingly, despite receiving criticism from his team, KinG refrained from insinuating any knowledge of his hacking activities among his teammates.
