Controlled burn in Lamar sparks debris fire | News, Sports, Jobs

A blaze that was initially reported as a barn fire along East End Mountain Road in Lamar Township turned out to be a controlled burn that sparked up a fire in construction debris, according to an Express reporter on the scene. Crews from Lamar Township Fire Department were called to the scene around 6 p.m. Friday night for reports of a potential barn fire. According to an Express reporter at the scene, the fire turned out to involve debris from a deck was taken down. A concrete cattle barn is located near the property, however, but was not touched by the blaze. The Express will provide further information as it becomes available.
