With the introduction of Valorant Patch 8.0, the Outlaw is now live, and already, professional players are tagging the new firearm as excessively powerful.
Since the launch of the Riot Games title, Valorant, there hasn’t been any addition of a new weapon. Therefore, the announcement and leak of a new gun, Outlaw, sparked skepticism among both pros and casual players.
It’s speculated that the Outlaw is designed to assist players in dealing with light armor during the early game rounds. The tactic of purchasing light armor (as opposed to full armor) in combination with abilities and weapons in the later rounds has been rampant in the pro play of 2023. The Outlaw appears to respond directly to this current meta.

Pro gamers had a chance to test the weapon early, and they are now checking out its live version along with other players since its release. As of now, Valorant pros are claiming the Outlaw to be “absurdly overpowered.”
Valorant pros label the Outlaw as excessively powerful and unbalanced
Soon after the weapon’s introduction in the new patch, several experts shared their thoughts on this firearm through social media platforms.
“During the first Outlaw presentation for influencers and professionals, I immediately knew that this gun is outrageously overpowered. It’s so good that you must have at least two in every team. We’re literally witnessing the death of eco rounds – is there a chance to lose anti-eco with this amazing gun?” said Timofey ‘Chronicle’ Khromov from Fnatic.

GianFranco ‘koalanoob’ Potestio, primarily an Operator handler for M80, also expressed his thoughts, stating the gun is excessively powerful and needs some sort of rebalance, so as not to turn it into an expensive version of the Marshal.
“A downgrade will only make it inferior to the Marshall, so what’s its purpose in the game? Or should the price be bumped to 2600-2800 ngl?” pondered koalanoob.
Additionally, other professionals have noticed that the gun’s second shot, when spamming it, is as precise as the first shot. This makes using the sniper significantly simpler.

It remains uncertain whether the weapon is going to be retained in its present condition or get downgraded prior to the beginning of pro sessions in late February.
