CSGO

On Friday, Michigan Tech beat the reigning National Champions Drexel 2-0. Hunter Holm “retnuh” had 28 kills to lead the effort on Nuke 16-10. Anthony Scheuer “Ahmoar” put 26 frags on the board to close out the series on Dust 2 16-13.

Tech has a 5-1 record heading into their match against ODU who currently has yet to win a game. After Kennesaw States’ win over RIT, Tech is now tied with Kennesaw for the lead in the division.

League of Legends

Tuesday, Tech’s summoners beat Oakland 2-0 in the NACE Starleague season-opener. Kevin Doerr “Sixty Seven” did 22,703 damage to champions as Dr. Mundo.

Wednesday, the Huskies won over Montclair State 2-1. Aidan VanDrie “Oscar Wilde”  had a CS score of 209 as Caitlyn. MTU is now 2-2 in NECC regular season play.

Thursday, Tech beat North Carolina Chapel Hill 2-0. With this win, the Huskies are starting the season with a 2-0 record.

This week, in the NACE Starleague: the Huskies face the Missouri – Kansas City on Tuesday. Thursday, Tech challenges the titans of Maryville. In the NECC league, the Huskies rematch Cleveland State on Wednesday.

Overwatch 2

Tech’s NACE Starleague season is off to a great start with two wins. Tuesday, the Huskies defeated Drexel 3-1. Maxwell Kinlin “Sky” put 42 eliminations on the board as Zarya and Lucas Haskins “cheesebread” put 40 kills on the board as Genji.

Thursday, Tech swept the Jamestown Jimmies 3-0. Isaac McKinney “Isaac” scored 38 eliminations as Sojurn.

Friday, the Huskies fell to Central Oklahoma 2-0, and received an FFW over Nevada Reno. This puts Tech to a 1-1 start in the Activision Blizzard Collegiate tournament.

This week, catch the stream at 7 p.m. on Tuesday to cheer on the Huskies as they take on Oklahoma City. Thursday, the Huskies face Central Michigan. Both opponents have a 1-1 record heading into the week. For Activision-Blizzard Collegiate Friday, Tech first battles Lafayette. Then, Stephen F. Austin State.

Rocket League

No games to report from last week.

This week, the A team has a doubleheader Monday. Catch the action live on Twitch starting at 7:00 PM. First Tech takes on Roanoke, then faces Oral Roberts.

The B team battles Cincinnati at 9 p.m. on Monday.

Super Smash Bros: Ultimate

Tuesday, the Smash team started behind but made up the difference to close out the series 2-1 over Siena Heights. Arthur Duncan “Geyser” took 7 stocks as Bowser game 3 and Noah Kolczynski “Noko” cleaned up the remaining 5 as Paluntena.

Thursday, Smash could not find their footing against undefeated Northwood falling 0-2. Tech is now tied for second alongside Central Michigan and Oakland with a 4-2 record. This Thursday, the Huskies take on Purdue Fort Wayne for the end of the regular season.

Valorant

The Huskies continued their reign of terror with an overwhelming 2-0 win over Marietta. Tech only allowed 3 rounds across the series. MTU now leads their division with a 5-0 record. With 2-1 Keiser Sarasota and 1-3 Kansas City left on the schedule – the Huskies may have an undefeated inaugural regular season. Tech faces Keiser Wednesday at 8 p.m.
