They would have been slightly disappointed with that finish, as they concluded the season just four points off the European places. However, they once again look to be a leading contender for at least a Europa Conference League spot.
They have brought in some big names over the summer moves, with Daley Blind signing from Bayern Munich, and Yangel Herrera, Pablo Torre, and Ivan Martin also joining the team. In pre-season, they went unbeaten in five matches, winning on three occasions.
