As the LEC is set to kick off later today, Riot Games has wrapped up its collaboration with LG UltraGear, which will supply the equipment for the championship.
Collaboration between LEC and LG UltraGear will extend for two more years
The past two years have seen a successful teamwork between the two entities, with LG UltraGear remaining as the Official Monitor Partner of the LEC. It will continue to supply all players and casters with the UltraGear – 25GR75FG, a monitor with a 360Hz refresh rate and 1-millisecond Gray-to-Gray (GTG) response time, apt for rigorous esports tournaments.
“Our monumentally efficient display, ideally crafted for professional esports requirements, will be right at the core of the action as top-tier teams from the EMEA region compete,” stated Sung Jun-ho, the head of the IT overseas sales & marketing division of LG Electronics Business Solutions Company. “LG UltraGear will persist in backing the LEC and contribute to the global growth of esports.”
In its prior affiliation, LG UltraGear presented a League of Legends-themed OLED gaming monitor (model 27GR95QL) that featured a unique back illustrating all game classes.
Riot Games has unveiled four partners over the previous week, including renewed collaborations with the chocolate maker KitKat, South Korean automaker Kia, and gaming chair producer SecretLabs.
