A special event in Vietnam is set to showcase players from the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK).
The event is part of the Visit Korea Year 2024 celebrations, and sees LCK representatives traveling to Hanoi, Vietnam to champion Korean tourism at the Korea Travel Festa 2024 event.
The event, hosted by the Korea Tourism Organization and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, highlights players like KT Rolster’s Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu and Cho “BeryL” Geon-hee, Dplus KIA’s Heo “Showmaker” Su and Choi “Lucid” Yong-hyeok, and OKSavingsBank BRION’s Park “Morgan” Ru-han.
Join Deft, BeryL, Showmaker and more LCK players in Vietnam at Korea Travel Festa 2024
LCK players will be taking part in the Korea Travel Festa 2024 held at the Hanoi Mega Grand World K-Town Square in Hanoi, Vietnam, from May 25th to May 26th, 2024.
At the event, there will be a special booth where LCK players can meet and have one-on-one interactions with fans. The booth also schedules autograph sessions and fan meetings, featuring players like Deft, BeryL, Showmaker, Lucid, and Morgan.
In addition to fan interaction, the LCK players will be giving interviews at press conferences, appearing on Korean tourism talk shows, and participating in showmatches with Vietnamese influencers.
The media conference is split into two segments. The first segment revolves around esports in general and the LCK specifically. The LCK Secretary General Aiden Lee along with the players will share insights into the league and answers to local inquiries, as well as inviting Vietnamese fans to visit Korea.
As per Aiden, Vietnamese fans’ strong support for the LCK has led to a significant annual rise in viewership in the region.
“Through this roadshow, our goal is to acknowledge the love shown towards the LCK by Vietnamese fans and also to promote local tourism. The event is a great opportunity for fans to learn more about both the LCK and Korean tourism.”, he added.

The LCK is a high-profile regional league with eight World Championship wins – the most prestigious title in League of Legends esports.
With live broadcasts in six languages including Korean, English, and Vietnamese, LCK has amassed a considerable fanbase in Vietnam, making it third in terms of viewership.
This was further confirmed by the record-breaking 560,000 simultaneous viewers in Vietnam alone during the LCK Spring 2024 Finals.
