International Esports Federation unveils HRH Prince Faisal as new Acting President

HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud is set to serve as the new Acting President of the International Esports Federation (IESF), following Vlad Marinescu’s decision to resign from the role. This comes with immediate effect, owing to Prince Faisal’s past role as the Global Vice President of IESF. He will continue to act on his new role up to the period of the forthcoming general assembly, when the new leader will be elected.

It’s important to mention that Marinescu’s resignation came about due to the increasing needs to cater to the global esports community. He believes a higher level of commitment is needed, and confidently bestows this obligation to Prince Faisal, the newly designated interim president.

“My belief is that at this point, Esports requires international unity, which will bring about acknowledgment from the Olympic Movement and closer links with Publishers. The best person to take us to this unity, in my view, is H.R.H Prince Faisal.”
