HLTV Streamer of the Year victory for OhnePixel sparks fan reactions: “Ohne has contributed more to the streaming CS community than anyone”

OhnePixel began his streaming career on Twitch in 2013. His gaming interests lie mainly in the Counter-Strike series from Valve, including Counter-Strike, CS2, and CS:GO. Another known aspect of his content involves unboxing cases and evaluating skins in Counter-Strike. He has been streaming the game for a whopping 14.2K hours since CS2’s release.

The HLTV Awards, launched in 2021, is highly prized among the Counter-Strike fraternity. The awards are divided into three categories:

  • HLTV Awards
  • Panel Awards
  • Community Awards

The Streamer of the Year award was part of the Community category. OhnePixel was nominated alongside popular streamers like Olofmeister and Gaules. Mark posted about his nomination and watching the award ceremony live on ‘X’.

After being declared the winner, he retweeted a congratulatory message from DonaCSGO, a fellow Counter-Strike content creator, and extended his thanks to her.

Many fans offered their views on the news of OhnePixel being declared the HLTV Streamer of 2023. One ‘X’ user noted that Mark’s contributions to the CS community have been invaluable and make him a deserving winner.

“I haven’t come across anyone who’s done as much as Ohne for the streaming CS community.”

Here are some other reactions to the winner’s announcement on ‘X’.

In November 2023, OhnePixel criticized Twitch’s policies. He called them out after rumors surfaced about the Amazon-owned platform planning to implement bans on gambling with CS skins.
