A Hearts player will wear a bodycam ahead of the Edinburgh derby; Hibs boss Nick Montgomery will take viewers behind-the-scenes at Easter Road; the Sky cameras will provide insight from the dressing room; watch Hibernian vs Hearts from 7pm on Wednesday, live on Sky Sports

Sky Sports will deliver a series of new innovations for the Edinburgh derby, bringing fans closer to the action as Hibernian host Hearts live on Sky.

The build-up will start at Hearts’ team hotel as fans get unique behind-the-scenes access to the team’s pre-match meal, plus a Jambos player will wear a bodycam during their pre-match warm-up to deliver a new depth of coverage.

There will also be interviews behind the scenes including Hibs boss Nick Montgomery in his office plus a Hibs player during his pre-match massage and on-pitch interviews after the game.

A camera will also bring viewers insight from the Hibs dressing room before the game, at half-time and after the match, while Montgomery will be interviewed pitchside during the derby by a reporter.

The broadcast aims to capture the passion, drama and key moments of the derby, and follows Sky Sports’ EFL ‘Innovation Game’ last season, which included new behind-the-scenes access for the broadcast of the Wycombe vs Portsmouth match in League One.
