Game Studio Super Storm Partners with Global Gaming and Esports Leader, Gen.G, to Launch Storm Striker Game in North America

Launching with a range of streams and content led by a former professional esports player, the partnership will be followed by a series of initiatives aimed at community growth, leveraging Gen.G’s collegiate network.

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 29, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Video game creator, Super Storm, and worldwide gaming and esports giant, Gen.G, revealed activities for a North America-focused partnership. Hot on the heels of their pivotal partnership unveiling in the APAC region earlier this month, Super Storm and Gen.G are set to work together to engage new audiences. They will utilize Gen.G’s collegiate network to generate content, build a robust community and establish a competitive esports approach.

Storm Striker is a frantic action 5v5 game, blending FPS, action, and MOBA elements to create a dynamic, quick-paced team game. The duo’s partnership in North America will kick start with Aspen, a streamer and a former Overwatch semi-pro. Additionally, Gen.G will cooperate with Super Storm to extend Storm Striker’s English-speaking Discord community, engage with Gen.G’s college gaming program, and customize community contests and events aimed at increasing gameplay time.

“Storm Striker was developed in Korea, the birthplace of esports, with high hopes of it being the next esports generation,” says Young Gook Kim, the Lead Producer of Super Storm Studios. “We look forward to starting our collaboration with Gen.G. Their reputation and proficiency will provide Storm Striker with the insights and marketing skills necessary to dominate the global esports scene.”

In Storm Striker’s early development stages, Gen.G’s international educational network offered valuable insights by joining focus groups and giving feedback. Both Gen.G’s Global Academy (KR) and Gen.G-related Collegiate Gaming clubs (US) played the game and participated in a closed tournament to offer this input. This partnership enabled the developer to gather real-time data directly from their target market.

“We are thrilled to partner globally with a game like Storm Striker,” says Martin Kim, Chief Revenue Officer of Gen.G. “We are committed to its global success and believe in its potential to be a significant title in the esports landscape.”

In the coming months, Gen.G and Super Storm will introduce several gameplay events, including a “Try-Me” Event, an Intercollegiate Esports Tournament, and a Playtime Reward Event. Storm Striker is now available globally on Steam.
