Gaimin Gladiators enters Mobile Legends esports scene, signs one of the strongest NA teams

Gaimin Gladiators, a European esports team, has stepped into the competitive arena of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. The team took to Twitter to announce their acquisition of the top-tier roster, TheOhioBrothers.

Right on the heels of this news is the announcement from Moonton Games that North America has landed a much-desired slot in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup 2024 (MSC 2024). Further sweetening the pot, MSC 2024 is offering a record-breaking US$3 million prize pool; the largest ever in the game’s history.

TheOhioBrothers roster is a major reason for the buzz. Several of its players have already represented North America in premier competitions such as the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Invitational 2023 and the M5 World Championship.

The team includes well-known players like Jang “Hoon” Seong-hun and Vo “SHARK” Trung. They are preparing for the upcoming North America Challenger Tournament 2024 and hopes to outperform in the qualifiers to get to the regular season.

The victorious team at this tournament gets to represent the region at MSC 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, playing for a US$25,000 prize pool. Gaimin Gladiators, already a globally recognized esports organization fields teams in notable games including Dota 2, PUBG: Mobile, and APEX Legends.

Gaimin Gladiators’ Dota 2 team has already scored major wins at the Lima Major 2023, ESL One Berlin Major 2023, and Bali Major 2023. They also scored a second-place finish at the International 2023, winning about US$400,000 in prize money.
