The BLAST R6 Major Atlanta will see G2 Esports in contention, as they sealed their berth by triumphing over ITB in the European Last Chance Qualifiers.
Prior to clinching the final victory, G2 Esports registered triumphs over Dunlimited and MNM Gaming. Their second map against the marshmallows was the only one that extended beyond the tenth round, culminating in an 8-6 victory on the Border.
Unlike in Copenhagen, G2 Esports have the challenge of competing in Phase 1. In order to advance to Phase 2, this dominant European team needs to come through the primary grouping phase unscathed. The battles are scheduled for Oct. 31 to Nov. 1.
In addition to this, G2 Esports has secured their place in the Six Invitational 2024, courtesy of the results from today’s Last Chance Qualifier. This implies that the current hammer holders will have the opportunity to defend their crown in Brazil come February. Karl “Alem4o” Zarth will also be making a return to his homeland.
