G2 Esports has successfully ousted DarkZero Esports from the Six Invitational 2024, thanks to their decisive victory over the latter.
The two teams had already crossed paths in the group stage of the SI 2024. The result was no different this time around as G2 Esports, reigning from Europe, triumphed over their contenders with victories on Clubhouse and Skyscraper.
The European team began the day with a victory on the Japanese map. Despite DarkZero Esports leading 5-3 at the conclusion of the first eight rounds, they were unable to maintain their lead. G2 Esports turned the tide in their favour with four consecutive defensive victories.
The finish line was crossed by G2 Esports with a swift 7-3 win on the Bank map. With this victory, DarkZero Esports’ journey in the Six Invitational 2024 came to an end. Meanwhile, G2 Esports has advanced to the Lower Bracket semi-finals where they will face the victor of the w7m esports and Soniqs match.
