Even though they’ve lost all their prior lineups, the ENCE team succeeded in swiftly recruiting a new one and qualifying for the majors. This is something their former members, who chose money and will be watching the majors from their TVs, cannot claim.
After SunPayus and Maden left for the Falcons team, the Finnish organization ENCE welcomed three new roster members; Goofy, Kylar, and hades. The Polish trio came from their former team, 9INE, where they made it to the Legends stage at the BLAST Paris Major. However, despite their accomplishment, the 9INE squad struggled to maintain a top 30 spot and kept competing only in the main events. They participated in significant events like IEM Cologne and Gamers8 but, unfortunately, both times were eliminated at the first stage.
Still, 9INE’s performance at the Paris Major gave ENCE their starting status back at the European RMR PGL Copenhagen Major, which they’d lost after SunPayus and Maden left. The Poles are now teamed up with fellow Polish dycha and coach kuben, however, some adjustments are necessary. ENCE boasts an international lineup unlike 9INE, featuring Lukasz gla1ve Rossander, who took the place of Snappi, the pioneer Falcon project player.
As demonstrated at their local contest in Katowice, the current ENCE lineup could hold a few surprises, managing to reach the playoffs against all odds. This team has a strong likelihood of progressing to the CS2 major’s next stage.
Getting to the majors already represents a significant achievement for Imperial Esports from Brazil, which still boasts power players like VINI, HEN1, and felps. Additionally, the team recently incorporated promising young Brazilian players such as noway and decenty.
The updated roster took first place at both the 2023 CBCS Invitational and the 2024 Ace South American Masters Spring, and were selected for multiple tier-1 events, including the ESL Pro League S19 and CS2’s inaugural major.
ENCE appears to be the favorite in context of the Polish team lineup, but their recent matches have left a lot to be desired. However, it’s important to remember that the Major is the term’s premier tournament, so all teams will be bringing their A-game.
