In a thrilling blend of dance and Esports, College Rivals, the biggest talent hunt for Esports in India, took inspiration from the first Olympic Esports Series. Onlookers on Carter Road, Marine Drive, and Juhu in Mumbai were treated to flash mobs over the weekend.

Just Dance, a movement-based music video game in which players are tasked with imitating the dance moves of characters on their screen, was featured in the premier Olympic Esports Series in Singapore last year.

In a bid to display the dynamic interchange between dance and Esports, College Rivals arranged flash mobs in captivating displays for spectators at Carter Road on February 17 with Marine Drive and Juhu following suit on February 18.

An anthem devoted to the gaming sector called ‘Rivalry’ played along with the performances. The song, which was earlier unveiled by Ampverse, the largest Asian gaming community and IP container, reaffirms their dedicated engagement with the community.

College Rivals, with the assistance of professional dance ensemble ‘Dramatic Mob,’ demonstrated their devotion to reshaping India’s Esports arena by introducing this innovative approach.

As the premier intellectual property of Ampverse and in collaboration with DMI Finance, College Rivals has accessed the abundant talent from various colleges nationwide, offering students a revolutionary platform to show off their gaming skills, thereby changing the game in India’s Esports scene.

College Rivals’ grand finale, a unique LAN event, is where the carefully chosen 28 finalists from different colleges across the country will have to battle it out across six gaming titles on March 3 at Nesco, Mumbai.

Besides the flash mobs, College Rivals further spread joy by distributing free tea to students from various colleges including HR College, KC College, Jai Hind College, RD National, Rizvi, Xaviers, Mithibai, NM, and NMIMS located in South Bombay, Bandra, and Vile Parle during February 15 to February 17.

As part of this campaign, they offered a limited number of free tickets to the grand finale for participants who took part in contests and activities.
