The esports powerhouse, China, is set to compete in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang,
according to an announcement made by Moonton Games on their Facebook page revealing that China will receive a slot for the M5 Wild Card.
This is considered a historic moment as it marks China’s first-ever participation in a Mobile Legends: Bang Bang global championship qualifier.
The news closely follows the recent approval of the game’s license in the nation, further heightening the excitement around their debut in the international esports scene.
A team from China will have the honor of representing the region at the M5 Wild Card qualifiers
The Wild Card slot provided by Moonton will be contested by four prominent teams: Longlong Gaming, Nova Esports, Keep Best Gaming, and Mi Ya Gaming.
The selected team will then go head-to-head with other teams from regions like South Asia, Mongolia, Malaysia, MENA, among others.
Moonton is utilizing the Wild Card format for the first time to allot one tournament slot. A total of eight teams will compete, with the top two earning a spot in the M5 World Championship.
The tournament is scheduled to take place in November, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
