The British Esports, United Kingdom’s national federation for esports, recently declared its comeback to the foremost international EdTech event, Bett, taking place from January 24 to 26.
Attracting over 30,000 educators, pioneers, and reformists from different educational backgrounds along with 600+ EdTech solution providers, Bett UK stands as the most significant annual event for the international education tech community.
Marking their third straight year, British Esports are set to host the well-received Esports @ Bett theatre. This unique esports section will offer a series of captivating talks, panels, workshops, and interactional sessions, revolving around the expanding realm of competitive gaming.
The event is designed to cater to the needs of both educators and policymakers, offering insights into the establishment and integration of esports in the educational framework while focusing on enhancing student engagement, learning, and inclusivity, especially for those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Moreover, the programme aims to underline the role esports plays in honing critical transferable talents like communication, leadership, strategic planning, and social awareness among students, while also shedding light on potential career opportunities in the STEM fields – science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
In addition to indispensable discussions and key takeaways from eminent British Esports figures like Federation President Chester King, Vice President Tom Dore, Head of Education Kalam Neale, Head of Operations Alice Whorely and Head of Partnerships Gary Tibbett, Esports @ Bett will also spotlight gripping esports contests featuring a Rocket League tournament, with participants representing the best esports talent from UK’s schools and colleges who are also part of the British Esports Student Champs.
