COEUR D’ALENE — Mollie Seibly of Lewiston had an impressive performance at the Coeur d’Alene Invitational, finishing in first place with a score of 77 on Avondale Golf Course. Her teammate Julia Brume took second place with an 85. Lewiston came in second as a team, with Sandpoint taking first place with a total of 369 strokes compared to Lewiston’s 374.

In the boys competition, Cody Ray led the Lewiston team with a score of 78. The team scores were as follows: Sandpoint in first place with 369, Lewiston in second with 374, Post Falls in third with 427, and Coeur d’Alene in fourth with 436.

The Logos of Moscow dominated their Whitepine League Division I game against Lapwai. Quarterback Jack Driskill led the team with 373 total yards of offense and accounted for five touchdowns. Logos won the game by a large margin.

Prairie of Cottonwood had an impressive performance in their Whitepine League Division I game against Genesee. They scored 32 points in the opening quarter and shut out Genesee for the entire game. Quarterback Noah Behler played a crucial role in all six of Prairie’s scoring plays, with four passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns.

In their Whitepine League Division II season debut, the Deary Mustangs had a strong third quarter that helped them secure a victory over Timberline of Weippe. Tucker Ashmead, the Mustangs’ quarterback, had a great all-around performance, accounting for three touchdowns through the air and on the ground.

The Garfield-Palouse Vikings had an impressive shutout victory over Sunnyside Christian in Southeast 1B League play. Kaleb Kelnhofer led the team with three rushing touchdowns.

In Whitepine League Division I play, the Kamiah Kubs secured a shutout victory over Clearwater Valley. Quarterback Dave Kludt had a fantastic game, throwing for five touchdowns and also being the team’s leading rusher.

Lewis County had a successful homecoming game, shutting out Lakeside of Plummer. Gage Crow was the standout player, running for all seven of the Eagles’ touchdowns.

Traveling Clarkston suffered a defeat against West Valley in a 2A Greater Spokane League matchup. Austin Clark of West Valley was the standout player, accounting for five touchdowns. Clarkston scored in the first two quarters but was unable to score in the second half.
