This tournament, organized in collaboration with Next Level Racing and Sector 1 Simracing, will be divided into four distinct stages. The grand prize, a newly launched GT Racer Cockpit from Next Level Racing, awaits the overall champion.
The competition is open exclusively to Motorsport Australia Esports licence holders. Each of the four stages will feature different cars and racing circuits around the globe.
To participate, simply obtain a Motorsport Australia Esports licence.
The competition commences with pre-qualifying, in which racers have the chance to snag one of the 70 available spots by completing a time trial at Gran Turismo’s Deep Forest circuit in the Audi R8 LMS Evo GT3 Car.
The pre-qualifying stage starts from Saturday 2 December and ends on Friday 8 December. Racers can complete infinite laps on the circuit within this period. However, they must log one official lap through the hot lap shootout activation on the platform and submit it to the official event discord server.

The top 70 racers will receive an invitation to the official event on Saturday 9 December. The event includes five heats, an official qualifying session, and the highly awaited grand finale.
During the heats stage, the entire field will be divided into five groups. Each group will participate in a 15-minute heat driving a BMW Vision Gran Turismo on various circuits such as Monza, Mount Panorama, and Daytona.
The top performers from each heat advance straight to the evening’s grand finale, the next best performers from Heats 1-4, and top two performers from Heat 5 will compete in a pre-final race for one final opportunity to make it to the grand finale.
The pre-final race, the event’s third stage, features competitors battling it out on the Blue Moon Bay Speedway Tri-Oval in the Mazda MX5 Roadster Touring Car for 12 laps. The top four drivers then move on to the final stage.
Finally, the 14 finalists will participate in an official qualifying session, which defines the grid for the final race at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. The racers will compete in a 21-lap race in the BMW M3 GT3 ’11, after which the Motorsport Australia Gran Turismo Esports Challenge champion will be crowned.

Pre-qualifying for the Motorsport Australia Gran Turismo Esports Challenge starts online from 1-8 December. The Heats, pre-final, and final stages will commence from 5:45pm AEDT on 9 December.
