Retail theft
MILL HALL — A 31-year-old Mill Hall woman was arrested for retail theft and shoplifting after allegedly stealing $519.37 worth of items from the Weis Markets at 6 Millbrook Plaza in Bald Eagle Township, according to state police at Lamar.
Spanning from May 5 and June 23, the arrestee allegedly stole the following: vitamins, valued $10; four packs of Huggie baby wipes, valued $36.96; Pantene, valued $6.29; Olay, valued $9.29; Nyquil, valued $11.49; Johnson’s baby lotion, valued $6.99; five four packs of Monster Energy, valued $50.95; Saline nasal mist, valued $6.59; three packs of dog pads, valued $47.97; toys, valued $5; Topcare shampoo, valued $3.99; hair dye, valued $12.49; Red Bull, valued $2.69; It’s a 10 silk hair mask, valued $36.99; It’s a 10 conditioner, valued $24.99; Olapex, valued $26.49; pink razor, valued $15.69; Dove spray, valued $9.49; socks, valued $8.99; baby spoons, valued $3.19; Degree deodorant, valued $3.79; two teethers, valued $9.68; large Monster Energy, valued $24.99; Roll dog food, valued $15.49; and Biolage, valued $22.49, police said.
Charges are pending.
Retail theft and
counterfeit bills
MILL HALL — Several counterfeit bills were used to purchase various items at the Walmart Supercenter at 167 Hogan Boulevard in Bald Eagle Township on June 25, according to state police at Lamar.
A smoke detector, valued $99; a carbon dioxide alarm, valued $99; and a clamp light, valued $74, were allegedly stolen, according to police. $100 that was used to purchase the items, were allegedly counterfeit, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing.
Hit and run crash
BEECH CREEK — A hit and run crash took place at 2:20 p.m. on June 26 along Monument Orviston Road in Beech Creek Township, according to state police at Lamar.
Prior to the crash taking place, Jonathan Pearce, 32, of Bellefonte, was traveling north on Monument Orviston Road in a 2020 Ford F-450. At the same time, an unknown driver of a white Ford F-250 Supercab failed to negotiate a right hand curve in the road and crossed into the oncoming northbound lane, police said. Pearce allegedly observed this happening and attempted to brake and swerve out of the way but was unsuccessful, police said.
The unknown operator then struck Pearce in a side swipe fashion, causing minor damage to both vehicles at the 9 o’clock position and damaged both of the drivers’ side mirrors, police said.
Pearce stayed on the scene of the crash, however, the other operator fled the area, police said. No injuries were reported.
Harassment
LAMAR — A 35-year-old Mingoville man was cited for harassment due to an alleged physical altercation with a 52-year-old Lamar man along Nittany Valley Drive in Porter Township on June 27, according to state police at Lamar.
Crash
LAMAR — Belmin Salcedogoris, 25, of Bronx, N.Y., crashed into a guide rail due to wet road conditions along Interstate 80 in Porter Township, according to state police at Lamar.
At 8:32 p.m. on June 26, Salcedogoris was traveling east on Interstate 80 at about 65 miles per hour when he lost traction due to the road’s conditions, police said. He proceeded to spin out, striking the right guide rail and then struck the left guide rail before coming to a stop on the right shoulder, police said.
Salcedogoris’s vehicle was towed from the scene by Tressler’s Towing.
Lost/missing firearm
RENOVO — State police at Lamar are investigating a missing Smith and Wesson Airweight 38 Special firearm that was lost along Renovo Road in Noyes Township between May 29 and June 29. The firearm is valued at $519, is silver in color with black grips and has a serial number labeled, DBD9090, police said.

Criminal trespass
RENOVO — Joshua D. Bruno, 38, of Renovo, was arrested on two separate occasions on June 27 and June 29 for allegedly trespassing at the Clinton County Housing along Schuylkill Avenue in Renovo, according to Renovo Police.
At 3:15 p.m. on June 27, Bruno was officially notified that he was banned from the property after entering, police said. Following this incident, at 9 p.m. on June 29, Bruno drove to and entered the property again, according to police. He allegedly removed a window screen and gained entry to the residence, police said. He was photographed and videotaped on the property, police said.
Renovo Police responded to the property and observed Bruno inside the residence.
Bruno was charged with a total of four counts of criminal trespass and driving under suspension between the two incidents.
Crash
NORTH BEND — Talon Cook, 21, of Lock Haven, struck a downed tree along Renovo Road in Grugan Township following an evasive maneuver in a 2004 Ford Focus in order to avoid the tree in the roadway, according to state police at Lamar.
At 7:21 p.m. on June 26, Cook was traveling east on Renovo Road when he came to the downed tree, police said. He attempted to avoid it but was unsuccessful, striking the tree at the 2 o’clock position which caused disabling damage to his vehicle, police said. The vehicle proceeded to spin 180 degrees off the right side of the road.
Cook was uninjured from the crash and his vehicle was towed from the scene by Martin Motors.
