A Bar of Their Own, a sports bar that will showcase women’s sports, is set to open its doors on Friday, March 1st.
The bar, situated on Franklin Avenue in Minneapolis, will welcome customers from noon until 11 p.m. on that day. Owner Jill Hiscock mentioned to 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS reporter Renée Cooper that the bar will be welcoming to families and children.

This women’s sports bar is only the fourth of its kind in the country. The initial bar, The Sports Bra, was launched in Portland, Oregon in 2022.
The bar will not be accepting reservations for its opening weekend, so customers should anticipate possible lines to enter.
Here are the Grand Opening Weekend hours:
- Friday, March 1: 12 p.m. – 11 p.m.
- Saturday, March 2: 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.
- Sunday, March 3: 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.
