Keyshawn Davis wants Las Vegas main event fight against Frank Martin

WORLD lightweight contender Keyshawn Davis now has a clear idea of who he wants to face in his next fight.

The 25-year-old recently fought Miguel Madueno in a lively 10-round battle, which Davis, with a record of 11-0, 7 KOs, won convincingly despite facing constant pressure. In a heated moment in round six, Madueno even landed a shot on referee David Franciosi.

Showing his usual confidence, Davis took to Instagram yesterday (July 12) to announce his desired opponent for his next fight.

“Frank Martin, we need to make this happen,” Davis stated.

“No disrespect, let’s get in the ring. The fans want to see it. It would be an exciting fight. It could even be the main event in Vegas. We both had great performances recently.”

“The time is now,” he continued. “Let’s not delay this any longer. Let’s give the fans the fight they want to see. It doesn’t have to be all trash talk. It’s about respect. Let’s just fight. I want to face Frank Martin.”

Last month, Martin (18-1, 12 KOs) faced Gervonta “Tank” Davis for the WBA world lightweight title in his toughest challenge yet. While Tank Davis won by an eighth-round knockout, the judges had him just one point ahead on the scorecards at the time of the finish.

During the Terence Crawford-Errol Spence Jr fight week in Las Vegas twelve months ago, Martin and Davis had a confrontation that sparked their rivalry. Despite boxing under different promotions (Martin with Premier Boxing Champions and Davis with Top Rank), the desire for a fight between them remains strong.
