Harry Kane: England striker expects to stay at Tottenham if he is not sold before Premier League opener | Transfer Centre News

Harry Kane is expected to remain at Tottenham if he is not sold before their Premier League opener against Brentford on August 13. Kane believes it would be unfair to leave once the season has started, out of respect for Tottenham and the new manager, Ange Postecoglou. However, there are indications that a potential move to Bayern Munich may still be possible until the Transfer Deadline on September 1. Bayern is currently offering £81.7m for Kane, but they plan to increase their offer. They are also prepared to offer him a five-year contract, making him the club’s top earner. Discussions between Tottenham and Bayern have taken place, and both sides are confident that a deal can be reached. Spurs are seeking at least £100m for Kane and will insist on a buy-back clause if he returns to the Premier League. Paris Saint-Germain is also interested in signing Kane if Tottenham decides to sell, but they will not get into a bidding war. There is a risk for Spurs if they keep Kane beyond the window and lose him on a free transfer next summer. Therefore, they are speaking to interested clubs abroad.
