Nominations are due by Oct. 16 at 5 p.m.
Have a good eye for sports figures in Guelph? The Guelph Sports Hall of Fame is looking for your input.
The board of directors is seeking nominations for people to be added to its Hall of Fame selection committee.
The four spots on the committee are available because the terms of some current members are expiring, and are up for review in October.
Those selected will be appointed to a three-year term, with the chance of reappointment for a maximum six-year term.
Committee members need to commit to two meetings in the fall to review Hall of Fame nominations, and make recommendations for inductees to the board before Jan. 1.
“Nominations are to be submitted via email stating interest in sitting on the selection committee with related background on their involvement in the Guelph sports community,” Carolyn Lee, the chair of the Guelph Sports Hall of Fame, said in a news release.
The deadline to put your name forward for the selection committee is Monday, Oct. 16 at 5 p.m.
If you’re interested, you’re asked to send an email to the Guelph Sports Hall of Fame.
The 2024 induction ceremony is scheduled to take place May 17.
