BN Preview: Hitchins will need to be wary of Lemos in Las Vegas

RICHARDSON HITCHINS continues his undefeated streak as he climbs the ranks in the super-lightweight division with ease.

Headlining a Matchroom USA event in Las Vegas for the first time on Saturday (April 6), Hitchins is set to face Gustavo Daniel Lemos at the Fountainebleau.

At 26, Hitchins boasts a record of 17-0, with his only knockdown coming five years ago. Known for his boxing skills rather than knockout power, Hitchins faces Lemos, who has a 10-fight knockout streak but lacks experience against top-level opponents.

While Lemos stopped Lee Selby in 2022, Hitchins has been more active in recent years, showcasing his skills in the ring against formidable opponents.

Diego Pacheco and Shawn McCalman will also clash in a super-middleweight bout, with Pacheco favored to come out on top due to his power and experience.

Other notable bouts on the card include Galal Yafai’s matchup against Agustin Mauro Gauto and Skye Nicolson’s title fight against Sarah Mahfoud for the vacant WBC featherweight title.

Marc Castro and Abraham Montoya will face off in a super-featherweight showdown, with both fighters looking to make a statement in the ring.

Harley Mederos and Steven Navarro will also be featured on the card, adding to the excitement of the night’s events.

The Verdict – A stacked show with some clear favorites in the ‘home’ corner.
