Conner hits 1,000 yards

James Conner surpassed 1,000 rushing yards in the season on a carry in the third quarter.

It’s the first time Conner has rushed for more than 1,000 yards in a season. He has 15 carries for 112 yards and a touchdown on Sunday against the Seahawks.

James Conner broke free for a 29-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter. The point after tied the game at 13-all.

The four-play drive covered 87 yards and took 2:14 off the clock.

On the drive, Kyler Murray completed a 25-yard pass to Elijah Higgins and a 24-yard pass to Conner.

Murray is now 11-for-16 for 164 yards.

The Cardinals added a second field goal from Matt Prater — this one from 34 yards.

Seattle responded by going 64 yards and kicking a 29-yard field goal when it ran out of time in the half.

Seattle QB Geno Smith is 8-for-17 for 111 yards and a touchdown. Kyler Murray is 9-for-14 for 105 yards passing plus 30 yards on the ground.

James Conner has 11 carries for 55 yards for the Cardinals. Kenneth Walker has 10 carries for 55 yards for the Seahawks.

Geno Smith found Will Dissley for a 19-yard pass as the Seahawks took a 10-3 lead.

Most of the 75-yard drive came through the air. Smith completed a 37-yard pass to Tyler Lockett.

Smith is 6-for-11 passing for 102 yards and a touchdown.

Cardinals tie it up

Matt Prater’s 23-yard field goal was good and the Arizona Cardinals are tied with the Seattle Seahawks.

The Cardinals could have had a touchdown on the drive. Arizona worked its way to the Seattle 2, thanks largely to a 33-yard run by Kyler Murray.

However, once at the 2, the Cardinals were backed up with Murray was forced out of bounds on a keeper.

Murray is 4-for-8 passing for 57 yards. He has two carries for 30 yards.

The Seahawks and Cardinals traded punts throughout the first quarter with the Seattle field goal remaining the difference.

Seattle put together an 11-play, 78 yard drive for the first points of the game.

Jason Myers kicked a 33-yard field goal for the 3-0 lead.

Among the key plays was a 21-yard pass from Geno Smith to Will Dissly that moved the Seahawks to the Cardinals 21. The drive stalled there.

The Seahawks won the coin toss and deferred to the second half.

The Arizona Cardinals received the ball with Greg Dortch running the ball out from the 1-yard line. Arizona began its first series on its 18.

The Cardinals worked their way to their 48 before being forced to punt. Blake Gillikin’s punt was downed at the Seattle 7.
