Brighton will be looking to kick on in their second match of the new Premier League season after landing a huge win on the opening day. However, Wolves could pose more questions for the Seagulls at Molineux on Saturday.
Premier League Preview
Brighton made a reliable start to the new Premier League season on matchday one, as they recorded a 4-1 home win over Luton Town. Roberto De Zerbi may have been slightly frustrated that his side didn’t record victory by a wider margin, as they had enough chances to secure six or seven against their newly promoted rivals.
However, they wasted little time to get their noses ahead, as Solly March opened the scoring after 36 minutes. Joao Pedro and Simo Adingra both scored debut goals, before the fourth was added by Evan Ferguson in injury time. The debut goals for Pedro and Adingra saw them become the fourth and fifth players to score on their Premier League debut for the Seagulls. Meanwhile, James Milner made history by appearing in a match for his 22nd season in the division, equalling the record set by Ryan Giggs.

There were mixed feelings ahead of Wolverhampton Wanderer’s opener against Manchester United on Monday, as the Midlands club had only trained twice following the appointment of Gary O’Neil. However, Wolves looked very impressive at Old Trafford, and could have counted themselves as very unfortunate not to have landed maximum points.
Wolves recorded 23 shots in the match, which was the most of any traveling side at Old Trafford since 2005. However, the same issues in the final third plagued their chances of claiming the points, as they missed no shortage of clear scoring opportunities. But, they could be on the right track if they find a player to put the ball in the back of the net.
Wolves vs Brighton Head to Head
Brighton have won each of their last three against Wolves. Their first win of that sequence in April 2022 ended a six-match winless run against the Midlands side, with four matches ending in draws between April 2019 and January 2021.
Wolves vs Brighton Prediction
While Wolves were impressive at Old Trafford, the same issues continue to hamstring them. Therefore, we will be siding with Brighton picking up a fourth straight win against Wolves, and a third consecutive victory at Molineux.
