Some of the proceeds generated by a publication showcasing all the positive attributes of the community have been donated by The Messenger to the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance.
The money came from publication of “All About Greater Fort Dodge.” “All About Greater Fort Dodge” features information on businesses, industry, housing, schools, health care and other elements of the community. It is produced via a partnership between The Messenger and the Growth Alliance.
Representatives of The Messenger presented a check to Growth Alliance staff members Tuesday.
“The Messenger appreciates the ongoing partnership with the Growth Alliance,” said Terry Christensen, the publisher of the newspaper.
“The annual ‘All About Greater Fort Dodge’ publication showcases the positive things going on in our community,” he added. “I want to thank the many advertisers who support this magazine. Their investment helps bring this positive message to the community.”
The Growth Alliance recognizes the importance of its partnership with the newspaper, according to Dennis Plautz, the alliance’s chief executive officer.
“We appreciate the opportunity to work with The Messenger for the improvement of our region,” he said.
He has noted that “All About Greater Fort Dodge” is widely distributed.
“We use them a lot,” he said.
