Sophie Alisch becomes first female boxing signing at Summit Sports

German featherweight contender Sophie Alisch, who remains undefeated, has officially joined Summit Sports’ boxing roster.

Last month, the agency added former Sky Sports head of boxing Adam Smith as their Director of Boxing Talent. Smith will now serve as a mentor to Alisch, a development she described as the “cherry on top” of the recent announcement.

Alisch, a 2020 Olympian, began her professional career in February 2016 and has accumulated nine victories without a single loss. She is promoted by Wasserman Boxing and expressed her excitement about collaborating with Summit Sports.

“This is a significant milestone in my career, and I am thrilled for the opportunities that lie ahead. Working with Summit Sports means I will have the guidance of top professionals in a dynamic setting.”

“I am incredibly grateful for this journey alongside such talented individuals as we work towards reaching the pinnacle of my career. Thank you to everyone who has supported me. I look forward to the exciting journey ahead with Summit Sports,”

Alisch currently holds the eighth position in the WBO rankings, the tenth in the WBC, and the fifth in the EBU. This Saturday, the vacant WBC Female featherweight title will be contested in Las Vegas between Skye Nicolson from Australia, based in the UK, and Denmark’s Sarah Mahfoud.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with one of the most promising young fighters in the world,” commented Adam Smith on behalf of Summit Sports.

“Sophie’s signing is not only special as our first female boxer, but she is also talented, dedicated, well-rounded, and values her family, which gives us confidence that we can truly make a positive impact on her career and life.”
