Global Esports might field a completely international lineup.

Updated On:

Global Esports will likely play its first match of the VCT 2023: Pacific League against T1 with a completely international lineup.
This comes after SkRossi announced that he will be missing the first game due to visa and travel delay.
Global Esports was also not able to attend the opening ceremony of the league with its complete lineup.

The Valorant Challengers League (VCL) 2023: Pacific League is scheduled to start in three days from 25th March onwards. Unfortunately, some members of Global Esports have still not received their visas to travel to South Korea.

This has resulted in the organization attending the opening ceremony with a partial lineup, five out of seven players currently in the country to compete in the league.

Amidst these issues, Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar, the star player of Global Esports has confirmed that he will be missing the team’s opening match against T1 which is scheduled to take place on 25th March, 17:30 IST.

While the same confirmation has not been delivered publicly by Abhirup “Lightningfast” Choudhury, it is likely that even he might not be able to reach South Korea before the first match begins.

All the fans and supporters of Global Esports are excited to witness the team in action at the Pacific League, waiting to see what they can deliver following the close first-round loss to Vitality at the VCT 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo.

Unforunately, all seven players of the team’s lineup will not be present in Seoul, South Korea before the team’s opening match of the regular season (league stage).

The news was confirmed following SkRossi’s public comment wherein he apologized to everyone for missing the match again T1, “Our challenges as a region are beyond the game, but we will keep fighting as always.”

This comes following an earlier visa update provided by Rushindra Sinha, CEO of Global Esports, where he revealed that every non-Indian passport holder from the organization had reached Seoul, ready to compete in the league.

However, visa for certain Indian passport holders was still under process namely, Rushindra Sinha, Vatsal Uniyal, Lightningfast, and SkRossi, which they could receive at any moment.

Unlike SkRossi, Lightningfast has not made any statement regarding when he might reach Seoul or if he is missing the first match. However, he did respond to a fan which suggests that he is in the same boat as others.

Amidst all the confusion and frustration, it seems that Global Esports will be likely fielding a completely international lineup for the opening encounter against T1.

  1. Jordan “AYRIN” He – IGL

  2. Kim “texture” Na-ra

  3. Park “Bazzi” Jun-ki

  4. Michael “WRONSKI” Wronski

  5. Cahya “Monyet” Nugraha

This will be the first time that the Indian organization will be fielding a Valorant roster where the playing five belong to Canda, South Korea, Australia, and Indonesia.

For now, there is no additional information about when SkRossi and Lightningfast will be able to join the team for competing in the premier regional league, contributing towards the team’s effort of qualifying for Tokyo Masters and VCT Champions.
