Richard “Sam” Feeny II

Richard “Sam” Feeny II, passed away Sunday morning, Oct. 16, 2022, in his home, in the loving arms of his wife, Yvonne, daughter Savanna, her boyfriend, Skyler, and his mother, Pat after battling cancer for three years.

He was born on Jan. 30, 1967, in Norfolk, Va., to Patricia Rae Feeny and the late Richard Sam Feeny.

Sam lived and worked in Warren most of his life. He retired from Atlantic Broadband after 23 years of service, as the cable guy. He also worked for Ray’s Disposal and Nystrom Oil. Sam enlisted in the U.S. Navy after high school.

Sam was a kid at heart with bigger toys. He enjoyed playing with the children and teaching them things like how to use tools, how to drive and how to make fart sounds. Many knew him as Sam or Sammy. It was said he never met a stranger. He was role model for many and strived to make people smile.

He enjoyed riding motorcycles, snowmobiles, ATV’s, camping and backyard campfires. He was happiest surrounded by friends and family.

Sam was a member of the North Warren VFD for more than 10 years.

Sam is survived by his loving wife of six years, Yvonne Feeny; his mother, Patricia Feeny; stepmother, Linda Feeny; stepdaughter Savanna Carlson; two brothers: Vince Feeny and wife Marlene and Aaron Feeny and wife. Lisa; and two nephews: Hunter and Kohl Feeny.

Family and friends may attend a viewing that will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, in the Russell United Methodist Church, 17 N Main St., Russell. Funeral services will be held in the church on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Pastor Lou Anderson-Nordin, officiating and concluding with military honors, by Clarendon/ Sheffield VFW and U.S. Navy personnel.

Donations can be made in Sam’s memory to Warren Cancer Center, 195 Lee St. Warren, PA 16365.
