On December 10 and 11, Occitanie Esports Montpellier will make its big comeback to the Sud de France Arena in Montpellier.
City of streaming, which hosts many streamers of the Twitch platform, Montpellier also leans towards e-sport. Next December 10 and 11 marks the big return of Occitanie Esports Montpellier to the Sud de France Arena in Montpellier. Since 2018, Occitanie Esports Montpellier has presented itself as an unmissable meeting place for French esports. After four successful editions, having attracted more than 12,500 visitors and spectators in 2019, this fifth edition is back in an exceptional setting that can accommodate more than 10,000 spectators.
A recent event, born from the investment of the Occitanie Region since its early hours and the support of Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole. Occitanie Esports Montpellier returns to a physical format after a period of health crisis which logically prompted the organizers to avoid this type of format. For this fifth edition, several thousand visitors are expected at the Sud de France Arena in Montpellier for two days of competitions and entertainment around video games and pop culture.
A LAN party with 1000 players
Several major events will punctuate the weekend, such as the final stages of the VALORANT French Cup. Other animation set up: a LAN party of 1000 players with 5 tournaments on PC and console and a total of 15,500 euros in cash prize to be won (League of Legends, VALORANT, Teamfight Tactics, Fortnite, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros Ultimate ). Meetings with streamers and youtubers, a cosplay contest and demonstrations, activities open to the public and entertainment, or even an exhibition area dedicated to pop culture and gaming will also be available.
The exhibition area, the play areas, the animation stage and the LAN Party will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and the competitions will take place on the main stage of the Sud de France Arena until 11 p.m. on Saturday and 8 p.m. sunday. This meeting will be broadcast live on the event’s Twitch channel for all fans who cannot be present.
