MC Championship (MCC) 26 Halloween: Live scores and game standings

The 26th installment of the MC Championships (MCC) is a regular canon version of the tournament with some spooky seasonal twists. The Minecraft event began at 2pm CT on Oct. 22 and took place over the course of about two hours.

MCC 26 features frightening decorations around MCC’s main hub and throughout all MCC mini-games. In addition to many spooky map changes across all of the mini-games, MCC’s epic finale will also be changed to Witchbolt once more for an epic magical duel between the top two performing teams.

The 10 teams competing in the event have been renamed to fit the spooky season better. The Orange Ocelots have become the Orange Oozes, the Green Geckos have become the Green Goblins, the Blue Bats have become the Blue Banshees, the Purple Pandas have become the Violet Vampires, and so on for all other competing teams. Most players also wore special Halloween skins to celebrate the occasion.

MCC 26 featured the return of the MCC mini-game called Parkour Warrior. While the general structure of the game is similar to what it used to be, it also featured some massive adjustments that Noxcrew made to make the game fairer for all competitors while also heavily increasing its risk and reward factors.

The scores of each of the 10 teams across all of MCC 26 are as follows. The order that the mini-games are chosen to be played, how each team performs in each mini-game, which team is in the lead, and who ultimately claims victory will be updated as the tournament occurs.

Parkour Warrior Scores

Players chose to get the revival of Parkour Warrior out of the way first during MCC 26 as it has the smallest point differentials and coin rewards this way. Parkour Warrior is a game that asks players to test their parkour skills by navigating through complex courses. It features three checkpoints within each section, with many specific sections players must conquer to finish the entire game.

Competitors are rewarded with medals for completing sections that are then transferred into coins once the game ends. However, a new game-changing addition to Parkour Warrior now allows players to make a difficult choice at the start of each section.

This choice allows them to choose the regular path or brave a more dangerous one, resulting in more points earned. Bonus paths are marked with easy, medium, or hard difficulties, with the higher difficulties yielding better rewards.

Perhaps the most important part of earning points in Parkour Warrior for competitors is ensuring they finish the course. When a player finishes the entire course, they gain a point multiplier that is applied to their entire team’s coin totals within the game. The more players on a team that finish, the higher this multiplier will become.

The last section of the Parkour Warrior map features a big choice that can drastically change players’ scores. Competitors are tasked with choosing between an easy, medium, or hard final path. They will gain a larger multiplier if they choose a harder difficulty or may end up with no multiplier if they cannot complete the game.

MCC 26’s third game was Battle Box, which is a PvP game that takes place over nine rounds. Each oteam is placed in a small arena where they then battle against another team in an even four-vs-four match.

All players are equipped with crossbows and tasked with choosing from a variety of kits to further help them in battle. The MCC 26 version of Battle Box featured a spooky haunted mansion-themed map in honor of the Halloween season.

Grid Runners Scores

The teamwork-centric game Grid Runners was selected as MCC 26’s fourth mini-game. During Grid Runners, teams must work together to navigate through a series of puzzle rooms as quickly as possible to score coins.

During regular versions of this mini-game, players may be asked to vanquish mobs, shoot targets, reconstruct a statue, solve numerous puzzles, and otherwise traverse through what is essentially a complex obstacle course.

The Halloween version of this mini-game featured a few chilling surprises including an overall appearance haul for the spooky season and some frightening rooms, such as one that housed the Warden in a deep dark biome, one that featured a Halloween maze, one that had teams carve a pumpkin, and another that asked players to shoot all the eyes on a makeshift monster.

Sky Battle Scores

The fifth mini-game was decided by an audience blockout vote on MCC’s Twitter. It received the least votes and was thus chosen as MCC’s next mini-game.

Sky Battle is an epic battle between all 10 competing teams that takes place in the sky on an always-shrinking map across the course of three different rounds. Players must work with their teams to gather loot, eliminate teams, and survive. Those who eliminate and outlast players will earn coins.

For the spooky season, the Mesa Sky Battle map was entirely redecorated with a witchy theme. The game ran and functioned as normal otherwise.

Meltdown Scores

MCC’s sixth game was Meltdown, which is a three-round battle royale that takes place in an always melting lab. Teams must work together and communicate to eliminate other teams and gather coins.

Each player is equipped with just a bow and arrows and can only eliminate others by shooting and freezing them. Players are also given heaters to melt their teammates but will permanently die in a round if they are not unfrozen.

To Get to the Other Side (TGTTOSAWAF) Scores

The seventh game of MCC 26 was To Get to the Other Side (TGTTOSAWAF). This game takes place over the course of six maps and six corresponding rounds in which players must navigate to the other side as quickly as possible to score the most points.

During each round, players may be able to punch other players, build with blocks, fly with an elytra, or otherwise utilize tools to incite chaos. All six maps were regular TGTTOSAWAF maps, but with a spooky redesign and some had adjusted elements that players had to learn how to navigate for the first time.

Rocket Spleef Rush Scores

The voting done by teams in the Decision Dome for the eighth game of MCC 26 Halloween came down to a tie between Rocket Spleef Rush and Sands of Time so it was then randomly selected from the two. Rocket Spleef Rush ended up winning and thus occurred as the eighth and final game for the Halloween event.

Players’ ultimate goal in Rocket Spleef Rush is to outlast other players for as long as possible while flying through the air with an elytra. The game takes place over three rounds where players must strive to maintain their own height and momentum while also eliminating other players with rockets to gain more points.
