Kansas Economic Policy Conference coming to KU campus next week | News, Sports, Jobs

A host of state legislators and business leaders will be on the University of Kansas campus next week as part of an event examining the state of the Kansas economy.

The 2022 Kansas Economic Policy Conference is set for 8:15 a.m. on Oct. 27 at the Burge Union on the KU campus.

The conference, hosted by the KU Institute for Policy and Social Research, will include a report on the state economy by KU economist Donna Ginther. It also will include multiple panel discussions about creating a more resilient state economy. State Sen. Dinah Sykes, along with state Reps. Jim Kelly, Rui Xu and Dave Baker, along with Kansas Department of Transportation Secretary Julie Lorenz are among speakers scheduled to participate.
