Promoter Frank Warren has expressed his interest in offering Michael Conlan an opponent from Queensberry, should he choose to continue with his boxing career. Conlan recently suffered a fifth-round knockout against Luis Alberto Lopez in Belfast, marking his second defeat on his record. Despite this, Warren believes Conlan can come back stronger and has suggested a fight between Conlan and Liverpool’s Nick Ball would be a great match for Belfast’s boxing connoisseurs. Warren also acknowledges the risks of matching Conlan against an aggressive and heavy-handed fighter like Ball, but believes it would be a commercial fight that would gauge Ball’s readiness for the big time.
