The debut of the Chinese organization Nova Esports in the world of professional Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is set for the ONE Esports Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Invitational 2023 (MPLI 2023).
Despite their inexperience in competing with MPL squads in formal tournaments, the team players have meticulously studied the gameplay and strategies of leading teams in the region by watching pro games.
In a unique interview conducted by ONE Esports, the team opened up about their role models ahead of the tournament.
There was a general agreement amongst the squad that a specific player from MPL PH has managed to distinguish himself from others.
ECHO midlaner Sanji — The player that Nova Esports admires
ZiHao “Sadboy” Chen, the EXP laner, and ZiRi “Ziri” Chen, the midlaner, both have expressed their respect for Alston “Sanji” Pabico, midlaner for ECHO.
Sadboy commended him saying, “Winning the world championship at such a young age is certainly notable.”
Ziri backed him up, noting that “He is really talented.”
Sanji’s reputation isn’t limited to just these players, but extends to a large number of fans familiar with the MLBB esports universe.
Sanji, being only 18, is already renowned as one of the premier players. He played a pivotal role in ECHO’s M4 World Championship and the victories in the MPL PH Season 11.
Responses from other players were quite diverse.
JunLi “Guoguo” Zeng showed appreciation for his counterpart in the gold lane – Calvin “CW” Winata of ONIC Esports, while YuanBo “Vikor” Xu confessed his admiration for Ralph “Flick” Hamoy of Cambodia’s Team Max.
Navigate to watch Nova Esports in combat against MPL PH Season 12 winners, AP Bren, NACT Fall 2023 victors, TheOhioBrothers, and MPL ID squad Dewa United Esports in Group A of the MPLI 2023 from November 15 to16.
