Star Sports has appointed Ocean Sharma, a significant figure in India’s Esports industry, as the national presenter for the much-awaited Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. This marks a pivotal occasion in Esports and sports broadcasting history as Ocean is the first Indian Esports commentator to be part of such a globally celebrated franchise cricket league.
Ocean Sharma is well-respected in the Indian Esports realm, having a vast experience as a caster and game analyst. His commendable accomplishments include providing commentary for official Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) tournaments and international Esports events like the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021: League – East, PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021: Grand Finals, and PUBG Mobile Pro League – South Asia Spring 2022.
In the 2024 IPL season, Ocean will collaborate with other national presenters including Mayanti Langer Binny, Jatin Sapru, Tanay Tiwari, Suren Sundaram, and others, taking on multiple roles as an anchor and reporter.
