Does Helldivers 2 support split-screen co-op?
Regrettably, Helldivers 2 doesn’t support split screen. At present, the game doesn’t allow the option for offline local co-op play with a friend. Players can only engage in Helldivers through matchmaking or by entering a friend’s lobby.
Considering that the original Helldivers offered a solid split screen co-op mode, it’s a bit surprising. It should be noted, however, that the first game was a top-down shooter, unlike the sequel’s third-person shooter with realistic visuals, which could explain the lack of this feature in the second installment.
