EAST LIVERPOOL – Dennis W. “Denny” Stoddard, 71, of East Liverpool passed away on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022 at the Orchards of East Liverpool. He was born in East Liverpool March 15, 1951, a son of the late Lewis ‘Buck’ and Wilma Stoddard.

Living his entire life in the area, he retired from Fresh Mark. A diehard Notre Dame fan, he spent many Saturdays cheering on the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. He was inducted into the East Liverpool Men’s Christian Softball Hall of Fame in 2014. While his passion for sports was great, his fierce love for his family was greater.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, whom he married Feb. 27, 1971, Marilyn Stoddard; a son, Dennis Stoddard II and his wife Jenna of Wellsville; grandson Nickolias Stoddard of Wellsville; and brother Mike Stoddard and his wife Wanda of Cromwell, Indiana.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Friday where the family will be present from 11 a.m. to noon. Pastor Mark Blakeley of First Christian Church will conduct a celebration of life service at the Funeral Home on Friday at noon. Burial at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at the Orchards of East Liverpool and Southern Care Hospice for their sincere care they provided to Dennis over the past year.
