Beverly June Manning | News, Sports, Jobs

On Oct. 9, 2022, Beverly June Manning, loving mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 82 at Elderwood nursing home surrounded by her family. She was born March 19, 1940, in Lake Placid, the daughter of Olive (Winch) and Milford Maynard of Lake Placid.

She was always the hardest worker and took pride in whatever it was she was doing, whether it be picking potatoes in her early childhood or housekeeping in her adult life.

She had a love for all living creatures big or small. She loved her fur babies Falafel, Tobey and Willow. She always enjoyed watching her favorite TV show “Gunsmoke” with them by her side.

She loved collecting elephants and angels knowing that one day the angels would come to take her home to be with the lord.

She was always the first one that her family could go to whenever they needed help or advice because they knew that she would be the one to empathize with them or give them the swift kick in the pants that they needed to hear.

She was always telling jokes or funny stories and was the first one to liven up the room with her beautiful smile and positive energy.

Beverly is survived by her daughters Lorraine, Charlotte (Brian) and Dawn, her grandchildren Ramsey and Kindsley, and her sisters Barbara, Greta, and Betty as well as many nephews and nieces.

Beverly was predeceased by her parents and her sons Marvin Jr. and Nathan, as well as her sisters Alberta, Catherine, Eva and Maris.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Oct. 14 at 11 a.m. at the M.B. Clark, inc. Funeral Home, 2310 Saranac Ave., Lake Placid. Burial will follow at North Elba Cemetery in Lake Placid. Rev. Derek Hansen, pastor of the Adirondack Community Church, will officiate.
