A win over Spence is “the cherry on top” says Terence Crawford

Terence Crawford believes that a win over Errol Spence Jr would be the “cherry on top” of his already hall of fame worthy career. The two best welterweights are set to compete on July 29 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas to cement their legacy in the sport. Prior to leaving for training camp, Crawford, who has held multiple belts throughout his career, held a hometown send-off event in Omaha, Nebraska where he spoke to the media about the upcoming fight against Spence. When asked if the fight was the most significant of his career, Crawford replied, “Well, one of them for sure”. He later added, “This is for the supremacy of the welterweight division. You’ve got two top pound-for-pound fighters in their prime. This is one of those fights where it’s a pick ’em fight in everybody’s eyes and maybe one of the biggest fights in the last decade.” Crawford also shared that he was always a smaller guy but the strongest, and aims to make a statement in the upcoming fight against Spence.
