The Wolves Museum, located within Wolves’ Molineux Stadium, is hosting a first-of-its-kind exhibition showcasing the timeline and achievements of South Asian heritage female players in the modern English game. This exhibition is being displayed in the reception area of the museum for a week, following the club’s first-ever South Asian Heritage Month event, co-hosted with the Punjabi Wolves. The display highlights the history of these players who have broken barriers in British football. One notable player featured is Bala Devi, an international striker from India, who became the first Indian woman to sign a professional football contract overseas with Glasgow Rangers in 2020. The exhibition aims to improve diversity and representation in the women’s game and inspire the next generation of talented girls from South Asian backgrounds. The Wolves Museum is honored to showcase this exhibition during their 70th anniversary season as English champions.
