Global Esports CEO Appeals Players to Focus On New State Mobile Amid BGMI’s Unavailability

Sinha claims BGMI is definitely not returning before March or April

BGMI was delisted from Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store in India in July 2022. The Indian government had invoked Section 69A of its IT Law, which allows it to block public’s access to content that concerns national security, as the reason for the restrictions on BGMI.

In a recent livestream, a viewer asked Sinha if he had any updates on the return of BGMI. Sinha responded by stating that BGMI will definitely not return before March or April. Furthermore, Saha explained that BGMI’s suspension in India is following the same pattern as that of PUBG Mobile. “I have said this before, and I’ll say this again. People call me a pessimist, but we saw it with PUBG Mobile. When it got banned, everyone said it would return next month, but it never did; BGMI was launched instead,” he added. “Now BGMI has been banned. Just like with PUBG Mobile, when BGMI got banned, people started saying that it would return the next week or the next month. But it hasn’t returned yet,” he added.

Following this, he emphasized the emergence of New State Mobile and urged players to focus on it instead of waiting for BGMI. “New State Mobile is here. LAN tournaments of New State Mobile have already started, and it is doing well. My suggestion is that until BGMI itself announces that it is returning, focus on New State Mobile. That’s all I’m going to say,” he said.

BGMI was banned 11 days after the conclusion of the BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) tournament, which ended on July 17th, 2022. Global Esports put forth an incredible performance in this tournament and emerged as the champions. Along with the lion’s share of ₹26,60,000 INR from the prize pool, Global Esports also walked away with a Hyundai Venue car for the victory.

Sinha explained that he is eagerly anticipating BGMI’s return as Global Esports will likely benefit the most from the game’s return. “Trust me, I want BGMI to come back more than anyone else,” he said. “Remember, one week before BGMI’s ban, our team won the BGMS tournament, the Hyundai car, in front of 200 million people on Star Sports. So, if the game comes back, we will probably benefit more than most other teams. So, I want the game to come back,” he stated.
